Some members of Tacaribe Tour Operators Ltd have been
engaged in community development since early seventies.
We are working closely with Community -based organisation
in rural Trinidad in capacity buildings, tour guiding
,video shows and meetings. The main groups are Village,
Community councils ,youths , environment and conservation
which are non-Governmental organisations . Their memberships
are mainly local residents but few outsiders. Rural communities
in Trinidad and Tobago are the most neglected. They lack
basic amenities such as electricity, telephone, poor roads,
postal services, health care and social services etc.
Telephone Pioneers of America donated 19 recycled computers
in 2002 which was given to community-based organisations
on the north coast of Trinidad. These computers were used
to expose them to computers.

residents of Matelot preparing meals for celebration of
Fishermen's day.
